DESCRIPTION OF GUEST HOUSE
La Chaussée is a small romantic 19th century château crowning 3.75-acre grounds where the paths in the undergrowth lead to a charming stream, just 5 km from the medieval city of Chinon. Painter and sculptor Marie-José and her Dutch-born husband have created confortable and elegant rooms. La Chaussée is an oasis of calm with a beautiful park, a pond, trees that are many centuries old and a modern swimming pool.
It is situated in a lovely countryside. The area is part of the Regional Natural Park, recently created in order to preserve its exceptionally rich flora and fauna.
The first floor of La Chaussée is entirely dedicated to our guests with in total three large bedrooms.
The largest one (35 m²), a suite with a dressing, has a confortable sitting area and a large luxurious bathroom with a shower, a bath and two wash-bassins. Separated toilets.
Two large windows give you a nice view on the park of La Chaussée (south).
There is one double bed (140 x 200) and a smaller one (120 x 180),
There are two double/twin rooms, "la chambre bleue" and "la chambre saumon". They are very similar (14 m²) except the colour of their decoration.
The first one has a large window with view on the park of La Chaussée (south), the other one is overlooking the fields north of La Chaussée.
Each of them has a private bathroom with shower, wash-bassin and WC.
Please indicate with your reservation whether you prefer two twin beds (80 x 200) or one double bed (160 x 200).

RATES OF GUEST HOUSE
The suite : The rate for two persons is 115 euros per night including a copious breakfast.
The Blue or the Salmon Room: Their rate for two persons is 82 Euros per night including a copious breakfast.
